
A group personal pension is a normal personal pension
plan that will be provided by your employer.
Essentially there is no difference between a personal pension and a group
personal pension (they are the same contract, but offered on an individual
or group basis).
Under a group personal pension your employer will probably pay into your
account, and is likely to require that you do the same. The tax relief,
tax free cash and other benefits equally apply.
Personal pension plans have become increasingly popular as an alternative
to the more complicated occupational pension plans.
