Business Angels
Where relatively low levels of equity are required, wealthy individuals or 'Business Angels' are probably the best route.
It is estimated that there are some 18,000 Business Angels in the UK, investing around £350 million a year into about 3,500 businesses. Angels range from those who will require little involvement in the day-to-day running of the business, to those often with an amount to invest as a result of a redundancy package, who are seeking full-time employment within the business.
